The UCC Mental Health Network (MHN) received support from The Genesis Fund in 2020 to develop materials addressing the unique needs and disparities impacting ethnic, racial, and other minority communities' mental health. Honoring the "nothing about us without us" belief from the disability justice canon, the MHN committed to working with other Historically Underrepresented Groups (HUGS) within the UCC and the broader community to produce its Genesis Grant materials. This project resulted in the creation of a two-part video series called "God at the Intersection: Journeying at the Crossroads of Tolerance." The mental health universe intersects with many areas, including race, culture, gender identity, neurodiversity, disability, sexual orientation, and much more. Leaning into these intersections as appropriate is crucial in attending to spiritual care rooted in wholeness of body, mind, and spirit.
